Do you LOVE Indoor Cycling???

Do you like Spinning/Studio Cycling?

I’m looking for a permanent venue to teach indoor cycling. The venue I’m searching for will need to have storage for 11 bikes and possible to make the room as dark as possible to create that studio cycling atmosphere.

Do you know of a place? I’d LOVE to hear your thoughts….and also if you would LIKE to attend the classes.

Here are my Top Tips this week relating to you nutrition:

  • Plan your meals and workouts
  • Get a PT if your struggling to get motivated
  • Lost your nutrition mojo? Get 1-2-1 coaching with me
  • Use your sloe cooker, batch cook and freeze, get meals out the night before – then add your veggies.
  • Drink more water, fruit and herb teas
  • Try to reduce processed food (anything out of a packet).
  • Avoid or reduce fizzy pop ( aspartame is a terrible ingredient)

Some useful info for you…

Kick Starters & SMarties

Sunday I was at the BeFit Event in London. As I walked around the various health and well being stands it was clear that they were all pushing and promoting juicing, cooking from scratch and moving more. The fitness industry is on top form. I’ve been to numerous health and well being events in the past, but I have to admit this one was smaller, but spot on.

There were different classes that you could book into and a few stalls where you could buy fitness apparel.

There was an abundance of tasters on the majority of the stalls. But guess what?!!! Most of them where giving away shots of greens juices, smoothies, healthy sweet treats such as protein balls and bars….all the food that KSFL promote. Natasha Corrett and Vicki Edgson (Honestly Healthy) were also there, but sadly not yesterday. I would have loved to have  heard them speak and watch their cooking demonstration.

Lucy Bee was there promoting the benefits of organic raw ingredients and demonstrating how you can add such products like coconut oil, turmeric powder, variety of salts to your food. Have you tried lucuma powder? Great for baking folks. It naturally sweet with a subtle maple flavour, making it perfect to blend into juices and smoothies or to your KSFL Banana icecream YUM!!!!

I walked away with loads of freebies and leaflets. The one thing I did wish to see was a KSFL stall. Next year perhaps…..?

10 top tips to move more.

Do you have a sedentary job? Are you sat down for endless hours? Are you hobbies seated?
I do love to take a seat and chat with folks over a cuppa, it’s our British way.
However, we sit too much. Here are some top tips on moving more:

  1. Set an alarm on you phone or fitbit/iwatch or a devise that will encourage you to move for 5 mins every 30 mins.
  2. Drink plently of water, this will encourage you to get up and take trips to the loo.
  3. If their are multiple loos at work, walk to the farthest one.
  4. Take the stairs not the lift.
  5. Walk or cycle to work if you can
  6. Encourage family or friends to meet you for a walk after dinner.
  7. During the commercial breaks of your favorite show, do a little shimmy
  8. After 30 mins of reading get up and make another cuppa.
  9. Don’t email you work colleagues if they are in the same office, walk over to them and talk.
  10. Finally, try to find a hobbie that encourages you to move more.

If you don’t like exercise, this is such a great way to get some in. You will feel better and less restricted with regards to your joints and mobility. This may sound like common sense, but how many of you will take action. If your able folks…try and move more.

Please note that The National Herb Centre is being used for an event this weekend and part of next week. If the weather is happy,  Boot Camp will be outside in the field. If not I shall have to cancel the session or see if we can use DVH. But I’ll keep you posted.
