A day of spirituality

What an EPIC day!!!

On July 1st I ran a spiritual fair in the stunning grounds of Careless Whisper. It was also the official opening of my second SMart studio in the same grounds, meaning residents of Brackley and the surrounding villages will soon have access to all he fun and shenanigans of SMart without having to travel too far from home!

So many lovely, positive and spiritual people came to provide healing, readings, and treatments and the atmosphere was definitely one of zen like relaxation. Guests took advantage of the myriad treatments available, and tucked into some delicious home cooked clean food, whilst mingling amongst like-minded folk in the warm Sunday afternoon.

The proceeds from entrance to the fair, and for many of the treatments were all collected for charity.  Lorraine Giles raised money for FWS with Reiki – Helen Thompson raised cash for group of rehabilitated women with her wonderful healing.

Careless Whisper is a true haven away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, and SMart Health & Fitness will make full use of this positive energy to focus on all aspects of your well-being.

Treatments were provided by Marie-Therese Winning, Crista Chylton, Lorna Jane Whinney, Polly Hammond and food provided by Shirley Matthews
A truly energetic day! I am BUZZING!!!

Huge thank you to Roxy Colmer for setting up the field, moving it and the marquee and to the kindest woman ever Dawnie Colmer for allowing me to use her beautiful land over looking the lake in Brackley!

Fitness Pilates and Yoga Day Retreat

Well it is almost a week ago since our Fitness Pilates and Yoga Retreat. The week leading up to the day…it rained and rained and rained. My dear poor friend Roxy Colmer had arranged for a Marquee to be erected in her lovely Mum’s Children’s Nursery in Brackley. Roxy was running around all week, trying hard to ensure the grass was dry enough for the day to go ahead.

On the day before I popped over to see how water logged the grass was…Hey! It’s out of my control and I can’t worry about situations I cannot control. The worst case scenario would have been to re-arrange the event. Which, we didn’t need to do. The rain stopped hammering it down from 4 pm in Brackley and by morning most of the water had drained away into the nearby lake.

The show went on and it was a lovely warm sunny day. We started the day with herb and fruit teas, some mindfulness and mobility.

Ellen Hayward taught an amazing ab ladder. My amazing Mum made lots of KSFL food for the attendees to eat and try. Jo Badger gave an over view of Feng Shui, followed by her amazing Yoga. Last up was Tanya Collins who is an emotional coach and spectrum therapist. Tanya gave an insightful talk and an amazing meditation to close the day.

As we all said our goodbyes, it was time to take the Marquee down. All hands on deck! The rain held off till then thankfully.

I’m so grateful to everyone who was involved and made another one of our events possible. A lot of hard work and peoples time was given and I feel honored and blessed to have such amazing human beings in my life.

If you’d like to come along to our next Fitness Pilates and Yoga Day Retreat block out 11th September, The House at Pooh Corner, Hinton Road, Brackley.

We have 20 spaces and booking is now open. Only £43 10am till 4pm, food included and also a goodie back with recipes and some tasters for you to take home with you.

Spread the word and come take some time for you…

BeFit Event 2016

Kick Starters and Smarties

Yesterday I was at the BeFit Event in London. As I walked around the various health and well being stands it was clear that they were all pushing and promoting juicing, cooking from scratch and moving more. The fitness industry is on top form. I’ve been to numerous health and well being events in the past, but I have to admit this one was smaller, but spot on.

There were different classes that you could book into and a few stalls where you could buy fitness apparel.

There was an abundance of tasters on the majority of the stalls. But guess what?!!! Most of them where giving away shots of greens juices, smoothies, healthy sweet treats such as protein balls and bars….all the food that KSFL promote. Natasha Corrett and Vicki Edgson (Honestly Healthy) were also there, but sadly not yesterday. I would have loved to have  heard them speak and watch their cooking demonstration.

One of my favorite stalls was one with herbal teas. if you would like to check them out and purchase tea here is the promo code to add at the cart TEATOX.

Lucy Bee was there promoting the benefits of organic raw ingredients and demonstrating how you can add such products like coconut oil, turmeric powder, variety of salts to your food. Have you tried lucuma powder? Great for baking folks. It naturally sweet with a subtle maple flavour, making it perfect to blend into juices and smoothies or to your KSFL Banana icecream YUM!!!!

I walked away with loads of freebies and leaflets. The one thing I did wish to see was a KSFL stall. Next year perhaps…..?

I could write so much more, but going to share new and exciting facts with you over the next week. So please stay tuned….

Have you booked onto your classes this month?

KSFL Free Buffet

On Wednesday the 4th November I hosted a free KSFL buffet at the National Herb Centre, Warmington, one of my exercise hubs in the Banbury area. The evening was a chance for anyone to come along and learn more about KSFL, and more importantly to taste a huge range of clean KSFL food. The whole night was made possible by my superstar mum Shirley, who spent hours in the kitchen producing all the great clean food. We had gluten free bread, clean blueberry sauce, spicy curried lentils, butternut squash soup, juice shots, energy bombs, clean granola, and more besides! Many kind KSFL members also brought their own treats to share, and I tell you what… it was all so so goooood!

I hold these buffets every now and then as a way of promoting the healthy eating side of Kick Start Fat Loss. Yep, we do daily exercises, get hot and sweaty early in the morning, muck around with tires, ropes, kettlebells, and have a giggle while getting fit, but actually 80% of what makes KSFL so effective, so good for you, is the diet. I’m so so passionate about getting the message that eating processed junk, and sugar filled treats is a health ticking time bomb. KSFL is a way of re-educating people that home-cooked food is the way to go. The recipes we have are simple, quick, and clean! Plus we have something for everyone. There’s an elimination book (the best one to start with), a clean curry book, a vegetarian book, a Christmas book, a sweet treats book, and the new Rescue Recipes book, which has loads of great advice in addition to the recipes.

I want to shout from the roof-tops and share the knowledge I have on this subject. And you know what? If you couldn’t make it to this one, I’m holding another really soon! In December there will be a Christmas buffet. I’m already so excited and I really want as many people to come as possible! Christmas is a time of giving, so let me give you a treat, KSFL style. Follow me on Twitter or Facebook, or sign up using the Register with Me! form opposite and you’ll get a first row invite to the next buffet!

I look forward to meeting you.
